As I was exploring some new application of contemporary technology in museum experience, I was immediately drawn to 3D printing. I know this technology has been around for a while and made publicly available through Makerspace in schools, museums and around the city. Yet, this is my very first time getting hands on experience with it!
3D printing required iterative design and prototyping. Each print took approximately 5 hours and several of them I could not rescue. Talk about real trial and error!
Check out this tutorial video that I made for 3D printing artworks.
